Critical field curves for the ThU alloy system

TL;DRAbstract

The superconducting critical field curves have been measured for the ThU alloy system and have been found to be in agreement with the BCS theory critical field curves to an accuracy of 1%, thus providing additional experimental evidence that the rapid depression of the superconducting transition temperature of pure thorium by the uranium impurities is due to pair-weakening rather than to pair-breaking mechanisms.
