The purpose of this study was to build actions to guide the management of the research team. It was methodologically based on the qualitative research, under the ethnographic method. The information was gathered from what the investigators do and say during the team work, which was organized and categorized, allowing the construction of actions to manage the research as a cyclical process and of work in team. As a result, there are five categories which guide the process: viewing the team research, structuring the research, guiding and monitoring, diffusing, and applying the product of the investigation.
