The epithelium and the NE cells of the pelvic urethra of UChA and UChB rats selected genetically was evaluated. Conventional techniques of histology, histochemistry, immunohistochemistry and ultrastructural were used in thirty adult male rats (UChA, UChB and Wistar).The epithelium of the pelvic urethra presented three cellular types: I, II 10% ethanol. There is structural association among the NE cells and the nervous fibers in the urethra of Wistar, UChA and UChB rats.
