TL;DRAbstract

We have recorded, in a jet expansion, the spectrum of allene ($C_{3}H_{4}$) in the region of the $\\nu_{1} + \\nu_{5} (5947.5 cm^{1}$) and the $2\\nu_{8} (6135.5 cm^{-1})$ bands. The intensities are consistent with a rotational temperature of approximately 5 K. For excitation we used a F-center laser, while detection was done using the optothermal technique. The spectral resolution of the machine was 15 MHz, limited by residual Doppler broadening. The results and interpretation will be presented at the conference.
