The analysis of fuel vaporization in a distributorless pneumatic injection system of a two stroke spark ignition engine

W. Marek-2008-05-01-Silniki Spalinowe/Combustion Engines

TL;DRAbstract

The paper presents the results of simulation tests of the process of fuel vaporization inside a gas conduit of a distributorless pneumatic injection system of a two stroke spark ignition engine induced by hot exhaust gas. For the simulation a CFD Phoenics has been used. The fuel delivery has been modeled for the phase when the medium flow is seized. A temporal and spatial analysis of the fuel film and the gaseous phase of the fuel has been presented. The results of the said simulations could constitute a basis for validation of a real engine of the investigated type.
