TL;DRAbstract

Heart failure is a clinical syndrome in which patients have objective evidence of a structural or functional abnormality of the heart. Pulmonal dysfunction usually seen in heart failure. Decreased of lung volumes, increased of pheripheral resistance airway, decreased of pulmonary muscle power, and decreased of pulmonal compliants are the caused of pulmonal dysfunction in heart failure. Cardiomegaly or heart volume enlargement is a condition that usually seen in heart failure progresses. Cardiomegaly related with decreased of lung volumes and pulmonal compliants that cause restrictive lung changes. To date, there is no study have closedly examined the relationship between cardiomegaly and pulmonal dysfunction in the chronic heart failure population in Indonesian.
