The aim of this study was also to find out how the elderly saw the division of work between the social worker and the case manager. The study was carried out by conducting thematic interviews. Nine elderly persons living at home in Tampere, customers of gerontological social work, were interviewed for the study. The data was analysed using the phenomenological-hermeneutic approach.
