A non-baryonic galactic halo and the real galactic age.

TL;DRAbstract

Consideration of both the Hubble shift and radioactive dating leads to estimates of ∼10 Gyr for t 0 , the age of the Universe. The apparent ages of nearby globular clusters give instead t 0 ≥ 15 Gyr. A possible way to reconcile these conflicting estimates (and solve the solar neutrino problem at the same time) is to assume that halons, hypothetical massive elementary components of the non-baryonic galactic halo, accrete onto stars and speed up their evolution, so that nearby globular clusters simulate older ages
