The problems of nature conservancy in Ust-Ordinskiy Buryat autonomous region are observed in the article. There are legislative acts on nature conservancy given, passed by regional administration during last years. Main directions of regional administration's activity are defined in the sphere of wild-life conservation, prospects are outlined, creation of new specially protected natural territories in particular.
