TL;DRAbstract

Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) have emerged as a potential candidates for application in display devices due to their many potential advantages such as small size, high brightness, low manufacturing cost and wide viewing angle. Since the development of the first OLED prototype by Tang and Van Slyke from Kodak, intense efforts have been seen on improving device performance thus leading to commercialization of small size OLED panels on market today. However, the low output optical intensity and poor color purity of OLEDs compared to traditional LCD displays means that OLEDs have a long way to go before they can be widely accepted as the dominant display technology. In order to further improve and optimize the OLEDs for use in practical applications, device modeling of OLED characteristics is required to better understand the physical processes affecting the performance of the device. Although modeling of electrical and optical OLED characteristics had been documented separately, co
