We studied the propagation of first-order electromangetic discontinuites throught ferromagnetic materials whose magnetic permeabily is a fuction of h2. We examined the condition for a discontinuity -wawe no to generate a shock-wave (exceptionality conditons of lax-Boilant). We found thet the system is never fully exceptional, unless in the plane wave case , if one supposes Ht=0, or for Hn= 0 with materials whose magnetic permeabily solves , a suitable a differential equation
