Simulation of a DC-DC buck-boost converter's parameter space

4

TL;DRAbstract

This paper presents a simulation platform for the purposes of presenting the deterministic analysis of dc-dc converter stability under the influence of varying system parameters. A buck-boost converter with voltage and current feedback control is focused on. The region of operation is obtained and quantified based on the occurrence of bifurcations of operating points. The difference between analysis performed in this paper and what was done in the past is that our bifurcation identification is based on conventional averaging model where practical operating points are focused. The averaged model provides useful information of the way the system loses its stability.
