Fusing fast algorithms to achieve efficient speech detection in FM broadcasts

TL;DRAbstract

This paper describes a system aimed at detecting speech segments in FM broadcasts. To achieve high processing speeds, simple but fast algorithms are used. To output robust decisions, a combination of many different algorithms has been considered. The system is fully operational in the context of Open Source Intelligence, since 2007. Index Terms: speech detection, speech segmentation, fusion, intelligence.
