TL;DRAbstract

Applications of optical spectroscopy to Army needs are discussed. These applications include tunable diode laser-based sensing of hazardous gases, explosives characterization using Raman spectroscopy and using laser induced breakdown spectroscopy, chemical/biological agent detection using infrared spectroscopy, and spectral characterization of non-thermal plasmas.
