This paper refers to the history of different types of collectors as unconventional sources of energy to produce electricity and how they have been developing over time in different facilities in several countries, thus achieving fare making the necessary changes its systems to make them more efficient and reduce costs, but this development is not equitable in all collectors, finding one in the prototype, which is starting to show high levels of efficiency even higher than other systems. This together with the analysis of solar radiation in our country through the use of various existing media, will allow us to select the rural area of the ecuadorian coast and the most appropriate type of collector for this sector according to the technical feasibility, allowing the development of all mathematical expressions from the time of solar gain, through the motor duty cycle, leading ultimately to the delivery of energy to the rural sector.
