In this qualitative research, an analysis was made of the perspectives of mothers deprived of liberty (MPL) and officials of the psychology areas of the female social rehabilitation center (CRSF), on the process of separation of MPL and their children. less than 4 years old. The methodology used was exploratory descriptive, through open interviews to MPLs and civil servants, and the separation was also theorized through positive psychology and research similar to the subject carried out in Ecuador as in other countries, finding pathogenic indicators and salutogenicos in the separation, finding that in the face of a crisis, as is the case of separation, beyond the negative, you can find lessons that allow the people involved to reach a salutogenic adaptation, based on a support and safe environment
