Background: The early supplementation feeding is the preferred practices in the rural community, especially traditional infant feeding practices. That practices can affect on the infant health seriously, because it's gastrointestinal tract is not ready to receive it and because of the risk of bacterial contamination, finally it can affect on its morbidity and nutritional status. Objective: The study was conducted (1) To examine the effect of traditional infant feeding practices to Acute Respiratory Infections and Diarrhea of infant (2) to examine the effect of traditional infant feeding practices on nutritional status gain of infant at their first 4 months. Study Design: The study was cohort design. The exposure group was infant whom traditional infant feeding exposed, and outcome was diarrhoea' and ARI diseases, and nutritional status gain (z score gain of W/A index).
