Abstract- Networking appliances represent a major growth user of the Internet. As these appliances become more prevalent in society so the very nature of the user base and the products themselves have continued to evolve. But certain classic problems still prevail, such as how can these diverse end node and network-based devices be made ‘feature sufficient ’ and ‘feature enabled ’ for an array of users, some of whom are technophobes? This paper will focus upon the use of learning and in particular the use of learning to enable devices to learn amongst themselves so reducing the reliance upon technologically-challenged users. 1.
