The Effect of a Training Program on Competence of Students with Learning Disabilities

TL;DRAbstract

This study aimed to identify the effect of a training program on the development social competence among students with LD through investigating the following hypotheses. - There are no statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in social competence. The population of the study consisted of (415) students attending resource rooms in the schools of the Directorate of Education in Zarqa )265 (males and 150 as females). The sample of the study consisted of 24 students as an experimental group and 24 students as a control group. Social competence was assessed through School Social Behavior Scale (Merril, 1993). After the process of testing students. Students’ skills were assessed after completing the training program regarding all variables of the experimental and control groups.
