TEACHING ENGLISH USING MONTESSORI METHOD TO IMPROVE THE STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY (AN ACTION RESEARCH AT ABA KINDERGARTEN TULAS KARANGDOWO KLATEN)

This research aims at improving the student’s English vocabulary using Montessori Method. The specific aims of this research are to describe the implementation of Montessori Method at ABA Kindengarten Tulas Karangdowo Klaten, and the result of teaching vocabulary using Montessori Method. This research is a classroom action research, which is taken as a result of reflection on phenomena done by the writer, and it arises from some specific problems or issues. In this research, the writer faces some problems, such as the students have low motivation in joining teaching and learning process, students face difficulty to memorize the meaning and they have limited vocabulary. In edition they are bored with the teacher’s traditional technique. Here, the writer chooses Montessori Method as the media to solve those problems. The writer employs classroom action research.
