TL;DRAbstract

In classic economics, human beings are supposed to be homo economics. But Adam Smith as a founder of Classic economics, on one hand, emphasizes in The Wealth of Nations human beings' selfishness and, on the other hand, emphasizes in Theory of Moral Sentiments human beings altruism, thus resulting in Smith's question. The debate on Smith's question gives an impetus to the theory of human nature. With the development of the theory, more and more plutonomists give up the view on selfish economics. And they believe that the human nature is always in development and enrichment. So-called selfish economics only exist in the society yearning for material comforts, i. e. the capitalist society.
