Jaringan pengakumulasi resin gaharu pada Aquailaria crassna
TL;DRAbstract
RIZKI CHAIRIAH RAMADHANI. Resin Gaharu Accumulating Tissues of Aquilaria cr assna. Supervised by JULIARNI and GAYUH RAHAYU. Aquilaria crassna is one of the 17 species of Aquilaria which can produce gaharu. Gaharu formation could be caused by fungi invasion, wounding, and also chemical treatment. The resin of Aquilaria is accumulated in the large amount in included phloem. This research was done to study the time of included phloem formation in A. crassna`s root, stem, leaf, and also to identify the tissues where resin compound was accumulated after plant was induced by Acremonium sp. The formation and development of included phloem was observed in six months and 1 year plants, while resin gaharu accumulating tissues was observed in 1 and 3 years plants of A. crassna. Cross sections of whole organs of 6 months plants and leaves of 1 and 3 years plants were made using rotary microtome, while roots and stems of 1 and 3 years plants were cut using sliding microtome. Three months after inoc
