Parametric study of daylighting and energy use for heating

TL;DRAbstract

In graduation thesis I compared how shape, size and structure of window affect the illumination and energy consumption in building. It is important to ensure good living conditions, which is not always an easy task. One of the factors that affects illumination (and also daylight distribution) and energy consumption is the transparent part of the building envelope (windows). By changing the properties of windows, the alteration also affects living conditions.
\nThe introduction presents few similar previous studies and their results. Later on are given the results of my analysis. I followed changes in illumination (software tool: VELUX Daylight Visualizer 2) and energy consumption (software tool: TOST). I was changing size of the window from 10% to 100% of one of the outer walls. I chose different types of windows, from square to oblong or vertical rectangle shape.
