If A believes that p, he believes that p is true. What is it for p to be true? In this chapter, a version of the correspondence theory of truth will be developed. There is a good deal of overlap between what I say in this chapter, and a paper ‘Materialism, Properties and Predicates’ (Armstrong 1972).
