TL;DRAbstract

Droplet generation is a crucial part of the process kinetics of oxygen steelmaking because it contributes to large interfacial area during the blow which in turn affects the mass transfer between metal and slag. Accordingly, the blowing number, NB, has been used to quantify the influence of the generation of droplets on the kinetics of oxygen steelmaking.
