TL;DRAbstract

The article reconstructs the peculiarities of the relationship between authority, society, social environment and military veterans from XVIIIth to early XXth centuries. It examines the system of social protection of retired and disabled soldiers and the opportunities of former soldier’s social adaptation to civil society. The author investigates family relations, everyday life and deviation of military veterans. Consideration is given to military veterans’ sentiments and psychology.
