TL;DRAbstract

In his most influential work Translation, Rewriting and the Manipulation of the Literary Fame, Lefevere in his cultural approach to translation claims the three elements that constrain the translation: ideology, poetics and the patronage, of which the ideology is the most important factor. This thesis is based on this theory and the author tries to analyze how the translator is influenced by the ideology and comes to the conclusion that when the ideology is different, the translation outcome is different. Yet as the translation is translators' work, they have their own positive manipulation.
