TL;DRAbstract

This paper presents a strategy for designing a low-power processor of a mobile terminal with Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) support. The strategy is introduced studying the Wireless Markup Language (WML) processing. A sequence of tasks focused on energy consumption reduction is performed; the main goal is to reduce a cost function (energy consumption) constrained by the silicon area spent and data bandwidth achieved.
