Project management is nowadays the leading activity in any organization, regardless of organization size and business area, among other factors. One of the prerequisites for an effective project management has recently become the use of advanced project management systems and tools based on new information technologies and approaches. However, there are still few project management systems which address most of the needs of an organization. Metadata is used in various knowledge areas, although its value and importance is still underrated. A small number of software products are taking advantage of its abilities and none were found in project management domain.
