TL;DRAbstract

This project presents a process for land-use classification of Landsat TM imagery in the Darien province of Panama. Supervised and unsupervised land-use classifications of Landsat imagery over a nineteen year period are used to create land-use maps. A process for developing cloud and cloud shadow masks is also explored. The land-use maps are to be used as a source of data for an economic model of the region and as inputs for additional analysis by the project client.
