The Development of New High-Strength Stainless Steels

C. Hammond-1965-01-01
2

TL;DRAbstract

Several maraging stainless steels have been developed from some basic information on the effect of certain alloying elements upon the martensite transformation (Ms) temperature, upon the suppression of delta ferrite, and upon the age-hardening response. This paper describes the research program which led to the development of these alloys.
