TL;DRAbstract

We report muon spin rotation studies on the magnetic properties of the newly discovered compound Ho12Co5Bi. We find that the material undergoes a bulk transition at TC ≈ 30 K to a magnetically ordered state. In the paramagnetic regime, we find slow magnetic fluctuations that persist far above TC. The fluctuations are found to be consistent with metallic spin fluctuations, but with a pronounced change of character at 110 K.
