TL;DRAbstract

This research is an experiment based on questionnaires. By analyzing the influence of three emotions-fairness, state anxiety, and trait anxiety-and situation settings of games, we examine players' altruistic tendency, cognitive hierarchy, limited confidence, and their impacts on games. The following three conclusions have been drawn: (1) In rationality's aspect of egoism, it is found that decision makers are not fully self-regarded but possess a tendency of altruism which is also influenced by emotions. (2) In rationality's aspect of reiterated thinking, the theory of cognitive hierarchy has been validated, and it has been found that the three emotions do not have salient influence on the ability of reiterated thinking. (3) In rationality's aspect of perfect foresight, decision maker's confidence that others will make rational choice is always limited. Furthermore, such confidence is not saliently influenced by the three emotions and the detail setting of situations in games.
