TL;DRAbstract

The aim of this study is the description of the main characteristics of Figaro’s life, adventures and death, as they appear in the well-known trilogy by Beaumarchais and in other plays written in the nineteenth century, for instance the drama by Rosier (1833) based on the death of our hero. Then, we try to analyze the several transformations undergone by this famous French character in plays composed during the years 1770-1840.
