TL;DRAbstract

Objective of this research was exploit the image of Landsat TM and ETM+ to monitor geomorphology of Jeneberang river delta, change of coastline during [1989][1990][1991][1992][1993][1994][1995][1996][1997][1998][1999][2000][2001][2002][2003][2004][2005][2006] and also to study the ability of satellite image especially Landsat image for detecting geomorphology changes on Jeneberang River delta.Research area covers the area of Jeneberang River delta, Makassar Regency, South Sulawesi Province.Primary data obtained by using time series satellite images afterwards it processed with the Geographical Information System (GIS);.field surveys to measure wave, tide, current, suspended sediment.Secondary data collected from Chamber of Meteorology and Geophysics and also another source such as topographic maps, pictures, statistic data, from research reports.Data analysis conducted with the integration of quantitative analysis and descriptive analysis where data from field measurement used to suppo
