¿Qué es el hombre?. El Salmo 8, una meditación de Génesis 1–2

Horacio Simián-Yofre-2009-11-15-Revista Bíblica

TL;DRAbstract

In its brevity, this psalm is not simple. Is it a hymn of praise to the glory of God who exalts man above all others beings of creation, or a wisdom reflection on the position of man before God or even a controversial text that wants to put the human being at the divine height, almost in contrast to him? In Hebrews 2 Jesus is recognized in that "man" of Psalm 8. It is perhaps instructive to think that, before speaking of Jesus compared to Moses, and before introducing the subject of the high priest, Jesus is presented as a model or perfect realization of this weak man, by which, however, almost everything has been granted to him. A first version of this text was published in Slovak in Studia Biblica Slovaca 1 (2009) 105-115.
