Investigation on mental states of inhabitants in Haikou during the epidemic stage of the H1N1 influenza.

TL;DRAbstract

Objective:To study the public mental states and its influence factors in Haikou during the epidemic stage of H1N1 influenza.Methods:Seven hundred twenty four inhabitants were randomly selected by multi-phases sampling in Haikou.Scores of their mental states were evaluated by the Scl-90 and social support scores questionnaires and analyzed using t-test,correlation,and Multiple Linear Regression.Results:During the epidemic stage of H1N1 influenza,the total medial scores of Haikou inhabitants were not statistically deferent from those of the national norm(P0.05),However,scores of somatization,phobic anxiety,and psychotism were significant higher(P0.05).Scores of the total and individual factors of Scl-90 were negative related to those for the total,subjective support,objective support and utilization of support of the Social Support Rating Scale(P0.05).Results of Multiple Linear Regression showed that factors influencing the mental states of inhabitants included physical health status,sub
