TL;DRAbstract

This research entitled The Documentary Work of Joo Batista de Andrade, was made in three years and had the following objectives: a) make a complete research about the entire filmography of documentary produced by Joo Batista de Andrade along forty years of career and nearly seventy movies that were made by him b) analysis of nine films deemed essential by thematic innovations and esthetic c) realization of a complete interview with the film maker, having his process production, choices, methodology and dialogues of his documentaries as the central theme. For this paper could be made, an ample reading literature was essential, in addition to extensive research in a variety of documentation files at the Cinemateca Brasileira, MISSP, CCSP, TV Cultura, Ita Cultural, besides the libraries of ECA/USP and the Arts Institute of Unicamp.
