Feature extraction and matching are crucial to pattern recognition. However, there is no systematic presentation on these topics. The authors attempted to describe structures so that readers can review them broadly. Though, the content level is high, it is comprehensibly written, using many illustrated figures. This book treats two basic components of pattern recognition from both theoretical and and practical points of view.
