The value of advanced energy technologies in stabilizing atmospheric CO2
TL;DRAbstract
In the wake of the Berlin Mandate (COP, 1995), there has been considerable interest in emissions trajectories that would stabilize the atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases, the objective of the Framework Convention on Climate Change (FCCC; United Nations, 1992). In light of its long lifetime in the atmosphere, and complex mechanisms which govern its concentration (IPCC, 1990, 1992, 1995), carbon dioxide (CO2) is of particular interest.
