The authors have shown the importance of the quantity and the qualitytion of information for strategic decision-making. The article describes the steps and procedures of formation of information security, the possibility of selection of information on the state of socio-economic systems and processes on the basis of its quality. This article is intended for scientists and practitioners involved in management, development and forecasting of socio-economic systems.
