Sulla caratterizzazione aspettuale e la variabilità sociale d uso di alcune perifrasi verbali diatopicamente marcate
TL;DRAbstract
This paper deals with verbal periphrases used in Northern regional varieties of Italian. Starting from a corpus of about eighteen hours of spontaneous speech, first we describe the aspectual values and the actional and morphological compatibilities showed by these constructions and then we compare their frequency with their grammaticalization stage. Finally, on the basis of a translation test (called retroversione), we correlate the use and the aspectual character of each investigated construction with the age and the education of the informants. We refer to the focalized progressive constructions (Foc-PROG) and durative progressive constructions (Dur-PROG) categories, trying to join sociolinguistic perspectives with verbal typology.
