As estrategias de aprendizagem e a ansiedade de alunos do ensino fundamental

Research has shown that learning strategies play an importance role for academic achievement.Investigations about learning strategies in Brazil are scarce.The objetives of the study were to investigate the learning strategies of elementary school brazilian students, and to explore relationship between the use of learning strategies and the anxiety of students of the second, fourth, sixth and eighth grade.Data was collected though a structured interview consisting of open-ended and closed-ended questions for the learning strategies.Anxiety was measured by an anxiety scale.Results indicated that an expressive quantity of students do not know how to use appropriate learning strategies.Although students had reported a diversity of learning strategies, they mentioned not to use these strategies frequently.Factors such as age, grade level, gender and repetition affected the use and the knowledge of some learning strategies.The learning strategies employed by brazilian students in this study
