ABSTRACT Increasing of population and settlements around KPA That happened, directly proportional to the improvement of water resources requirements. otherwise reality on the ground There are still critical areas and environmental damage In this catchment areas That can disturb sustainable water availability. while Government budget for conservation and rehabilitation still limited. The research was aimed to identificate utilization activities at environmental services of water in KPA Merapi. The result showed that clean water supply through PDAM and PAMSIMAS, supply water from KPA for the people in surrounding village each as much as 1370 and 16523 people. The remaining 92481 of 110376 people in KPA surrounding village generally use flowing water from KPA independently. Utilization for irrigation and agricultural done by 49 water users farmers associations (P3A) already formed at 58 irrigation area by 3728 ha. While at that source of water there are still critical land such as 00o2
