Resistance of subalpine wooded pastures to climate change
TL;DRAbstract
Silvopastoral ecosystems are highly productive and combine long term timber yield with annual provision of forage for livestock. As in other cold biomes, however, climate warming can potentially accelerate landscape change within these historically sustainable systems. \nBoth carbon stock and turnover in the pasture soils are believed to respond strongly to temperature increase where the magnitude of change will be coupled to the intensity of landuse pressure.
