TL;DRAbstract

Samples of P/sup 32/ preparations (pH 9 and 9.3) containing minute quantities of radioactive impurities of Zn/sup 65/, Fe/sup 55-59/, and Sb/sup 124/ (5 and 10 mC) were passed through a column of peat (humus) with excellent absorbency of heavy ions. The impurities were trapped in the humus and released by washings and identified individually in the washings by the use of gamma spectrometry. It was determined that Sb/sup 124/ exists in the form of anions, and in addition, an unreported impurity of Co/sup 60/ was also present. (OID)
