TL;DRAbstract

Iopanoic acid given together with carbimazole induces rapid clinical improvement in hyperthyroid patients than carbimazole alone. However, the delayed achievement of euthyroidism may preclude its routine use in the management of patients with hyperthyroidism except in those with thyrotoxic emergencies.
