Introduction The main purpose of education is to make individuals capable of developing and generating new ideas rather than repeating those produced in other parts of the world. Individuals should be innovators, inventors and discoverers of the previously unknown and unseen in the surrounding world (Piaget, 1962). Kindergarten is considered a necessary stage before compulsory school (American Education Catholic Region, 2001; Marcon, 2002; Saluja, Scott-little, & Clifford, 2000). Kindergarten is a critical period in a child's social and cognitive development; success at this point in time influences later learning and academic achievement (Webb, 2003; West, Denton, & Germino-Hausken, 2001). Educational programs depend on curricula as a cornerstone. Thus, the kindergarten curriculum guides several other components of schooling towards a successful educational experience.
