Utility of Stereological Measurements in the Study of Creep Cavitation Kinetics
TL;DRAbstract
Applications of the stereological counting measurements are discussed for the study of intergranular cavitation process during high temperature creep. It is shown that the stereological data on volume fraction, surface area, integral mean curvature, and total line length can yield quantitative information on the various aspects of the kinetics of the cavitation process without involving any assumptions.
