The effectiveness of behavioral rehabilitation juvenile programmes in Henry Gurney School and Tunas Bakti School

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of the programmes conducted by three rehabilitation centres for delinquents. In these centres, the delinquents undergo programmes which aimed to give guidance and help the delinquents change their unwanted behaviour. Questionnaires and interview were used as instruments. The questionnaires used are adapted from the research done by Azizi (1999). Alpha Cronbach is used to test the reliability of this research. It showed that the overall Alpha value for the whole programme is 0.91. The Alpha value for the Academic, Vocational, Co-Curriculum, Religious Knowledge and Counseling Programme are 0.91, 0.89, 0.91, 0.92 dan 0.92 respectively. To ensure reliability of the research, interviews were conducted with the officers and the adolescents.
